Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is more than just a game; it’s a LIFESTYLE! …also community of strategy, competition, and camaraderie. For those who revel in the Commander format, organizing tournaments can be as complex as the game itself. That’s where commander.mtgthing.com comes in – a new app designed to streamline the organization of Commander tournaments.

Simplifying Tournament Management

commander.mtgthing.com is the product of a spontaneous weekend project that took off unexpectedly. Its interface boasts a sleek and user-friendly design, facilitating effortless management of participants for organizers. The inspiration stemmed from observing the antiquated use of paper for organizing tables and individuals at my local game store (LGS). Stepping up, I volunteered to create an app over a weekend, which surprisingly gained immense popularity within the LGS community.

Features at a Glance:

Participant List: Keep track of all tournament players and their details. Table Assignments: Organize players into tables with a simple and efficient system. Payment Status: Mark who has paid the entry fee, ensuring the financial aspects are clear. Victory Tracking: Record winners and assign them to winner tables for subsequent rounds. Automatic Pairings: With a click of a button, assign winners to new tables, making the next round ready in seconds.

Crafted for the Community

This app embodies my gratitude towards the incredible community where I’ve discovered lifelong friendships. I’ve found magic to be an unparalleled means of making new connections after relocating to a new city. The openness and warmth of the community have truly been enlightening.

Whether you’re organizing a neighborhood tournament or a grand event, commander.mtgthing.com stands as your digital ally, streamlining logistics so that everyone can immerse themselves fully in the game.
